Francis Kurkdjian is one of the most prolific and acclaimed perfumers in today’s world.
A graduate of ISIPCA Perfumery school, his Le Mâle of Jean-Paul Gaultier that became one of the world’s best selling perfumes, was the first blasting success in the career of Francis. He was only 25 at the time and he describes the scope of this success comparable to the recognition of a professional at the peak of their career - at the age 40. His secret is simple: ‘never follow trends - create them’. In 2001, Francis won the highly prestigious François Coty Perfumers Prize.
Only few of us know that prior to creating the Maison Francis Kurkdjian in 2010, Francis was the founder and the nose of Indult, having created the four inaugural fragrances of the range – Tihota, Manakara, Rêve en Cuir and Isvaraya.
Francis has a lot of consideration for his first olfactory creations as an independent perfumer, in which he infused a great portion of his incredible talent and of the finest raw materials.
